Aho with an awe-inspiring Sunday morning greetings to all,
The sheer presence of life has humbled me once again.
Right now as I gaze out the windows in the beginning moments of this day, it is extremely quiet' Our Grandfather Sun is peeking out through the trees and the only movement I see are the birds near the feeders. The sky is a light blue with only a few scattered clouds. This reminds me of the gentle, calm moments we have between the busy events of our lives.
As I watch the morning, weather and clouds change, it reminds me somewhat of our daily lives. We may experience days, weeks or months of full-on sunshine or cloudiness then all of a sudden, the day (or times) change and we are faced with a fresh look. How cool is that?.......... :-)
Being an Aquarian, change is generally not scary to me and in most cases; I welcome the newness or freshness of life's little adjustments. This holds true for the things I have gone through and continue to experience here at Our Sacred Land. I feel so blessed in having the opportunity to meet so many wonderful, loving people. I have received several comments as of the "quality" of those who have made their way to Our Sacred Land and I agree fully!
The next two weeks will be busy for not only me but many events here at Our Sacred Land. We will have our group meeting this Thursday and next week we have our full moon fire/drumming and following that, we will be establishing the Medicine Wheel. Following that, we have not set up any specific activities for our group meetings.
Now that winter is hopefully (wink) behind us, I wanted to say a big Thank You for your dedication and support to the group and this land, during the most challenging months to get out and about. You have set up a very strong "core" or template. This strength will set up for a fast and eventful spring. This brings up one of the reasons for my email this morning.
I am feeling the need to "check in" with all of you to see where you are and to receive your comments (good and bad) about what we have created, what you would like to see and not see. I have spent a good deal of time this morning in private and my heart is in a wonderful space. I would like to use this opportunity to "listen" to what you have to say without comment. The vision of me and Our Sacred Land is all about holding that sacred space for everyone's personal journey. It is appropriate to check in with all of you from time to time, letting you know "YOU" are extremely important and your desires will always be welcomed and heard.
As we move into the Spring time with special events, I really welcome your comments and input as we set the calendar of events. Some recent suggestions or thoughts;
* Watch a movie and discuss it at our group meetings
* Choose and watch one of the many DVD's we have on many different subjects
* Hold a meditation night, this could also be a guided meditation or shamanic journey
* Open "Talking Stick" night
* A night of mostly drumming, singing or dancing (little to no discussion)
* The list goes on and on…………….
One other comment recently was setting up beginning, intermediate and advanced classes for some interesting topics. Recognizing that we are all in a different space on many subjects, I would welcome your comments here.
In addition to the events we choose, a reminder to all of you is that we welcome and encourage participation, and that goes to leading the group at times. Remembering that we are all co-creating the events on Our Sacred Land, which requires you to step forward and co-facilitate some of the events. I welcome this and look forward to being amongst the group too…. :-)
So,,,, my dear friends and spiritual family, I look forward to hearing from you. Either in person, by email or however you choose to communicate. My love, respect and support to all of you on your personal and collective journeys.
Aho, Namaste and a pleasant Sunday to you,
Steve

Welcome to Our Sacred Land
Aho, Namaste and Welcome to "Our Sacred Land"
Situated in the heart of the White Mountains; "Our Sacred Land" is beautifully nestled on 5 private acres on the outskirts of Show Low, AZ.
In February of 2007, a realtor friend showed Steve the house and land. While discussing the place, they noticed the high "energy" present and looked up to see a Bald Eagle circling over-head. These and a few other signs confirmed that this land was to be the right place.
As Steve began cleaning up and working the land, he felt deep gratitude coming from the trees, rocks and everything else present on the land. It did not take long to realize this special place would be instrumental in holding what is called "Sacred Space" for all who came to visit. In fact, it is becoming very special to many across the nation and in other countries. Steve feels it is an honor to be the care-taker of this special land and finds the experience quite humbling.
Since this special place has been given the duty and task of holding Sacred Space for all, it has been gifted with the name of "Our Sacred Land". The term “Our” is most appropriate as this land really does belong to all. The land has since had a special cleansing/dedication ceremony and is now open to all who feel drawn to visit. In addition to the monthly Full-Moon Fire/Drummings, group discussions are also a part of the activities here. Various workshops, seminars and events are always being talked about. Many special people/healers have come forward and are getting set up to do their work on this land.
We are seeing many individual or personal visions coming into focus. There seems to be excitement about the way community is coming together. "Our Sacred Land" will continue to hold the “Sacred Space” for all who find their way to this beautiful land. Requirements to visit Our Sacred Land are:
1. An open heart
2. An open mind
3. Good intentions
4. Respect for all; the land, the animals, the trees, the rocks and the people who come to visit
5. Respect for everyone's personal/individual ways.
6. Have fun and be yourself!
